THE MAXIM 3D DIFFERENCE
Simplify scleral lens fittings in your practice by upgrading to the Maxim 3D.
A "free form" design with infinite profile and modification capabilities for the best lens fit and function. The Maxim 3D can be fit empirically utilizing a corneo-scleral profilometer OR without. Design modifications available 360° over the corneal shape and out onto the sclera.
If you have not made the commitment to a profilometer no problem! The Maxim 3D can also be designed from a trial fit.
5 STEPS TO TRIAL FIT A MAXIM 3D
STEP 1
Eye scan is preformed
STEP 2
Select your lens diameter from a trial lens set that corresponds to the HVID fit guide.
STEP 3
Determine best lens based on a simple fit chart in the diagnostic set.
STEP 4
Fill the lens bowl with saline and fluorescein.
STEP 5
Asses the fit under slit lamp.
JUST 5 STEPS
THE MAXIM 3D DIFFERENCE
In doing these five steps you will be able to tell where the lens haptics are tight or loose, at what angle (clock hour), what the central vault and limbal coverage are and best of all the patient will undoubtedly be surprised how comfortable the lens is.
The key is that the 12 lens Maxim 3D trial set is designed with spherical haptics. This allows for a precise zero point for fit assessment. No need for multiple trial sets, toric pc trial lenses or an excessive number of trial lenses. All we need is one lens, one assessment.

DESIGN PROCESS. EFFICIENT AND PRECISE
The data file is imported into the CAD/CAM design software. There are four sections that can be placed at any angle on the haptic. The free form change to the lens starts 1mm inside the limbus for a precise fit over the cornea and onto the sclera.
MAXIM 3D OPTIONS
MAXIM 3D FRONT TORIC
Same as the standard Maxim 3D but with a cylinder correction on the front, with double slab-off.
MAXIM 3D AMF/AMF FRONT TORIC
The free form design with added aspheric multifocal – up to +1.75 add and if needed cylinder correction.
MAXIM 3D WITH DOUBLE SLAB-OFF
AccuVault and Maxim 3D: (vault option for pterygium or pingucula)
